Tile, LVP/LVT, hardwood.
All the way through.
Everything below includes the part that decides whether a floor lasts: prep, movement joints, waterproofing and full coverage. That's not an add-on line — it's the job. Schluter®-Systems certified, owner operated, free in-home consultation and a written quote within 24 hours.
Built to stay dry behind the tile.
Most shower failures aren't tile failures — they're waterproofing failures, and you don't find out for five years. We build the assembly first and treat the tile as the finish it is.
- Full tear-out, inspection and rebuild of rotted substrate
- Bonded sheet or liquid membrane, seams and corners banded
- Sloped mud beds and pre-sloped pans, flood-tested before tile
- Curbless entries and linear drains for zero-threshold baths
Flat first. Then tile.
Large-format tile is unforgiving — an ⅛" hump in the slab becomes a lippage edge you catch with your toe. We level and uncouple before anything gets set.
- Self-levelling underlayment to flatten out-of-tolerance floors
- Uncoupling and crack-isolation membranes over concrete and plywood
- Large-format porcelain, wood-look plank, natural stone, mosaic
- Back-buttering and coverage checks on every tile over 15"
The wall everyone looks at.
A fireplace is the one surface in the house nobody stops noticing. Floor-to-ceiling slab-look, stacked stone, or a tight mitered surround — it needs to be dead plumb and dead level.
- Floor-to-ceiling and hearth-height surrounds
- Non-combustible board and correct clearances to the firebox
- Mitered outside corners so no trim piece breaks the run
- Stacked stone, slab-look porcelain, brick and cement tile
Tile people stand two feet from.
A backsplash is small, visible and full of cuts. Outlets, corners, the run behind the range, and where it dies into the cabinet — that's where the work shows.
- Zellige, handmade, subway, mosaic and slab-look panels
- Mitered outside corners — a clean edge without bulky trim
- Tight, symmetrical outlet cuts with box extenders set right
- Layout planned so the range wall lands on full tiles
Every step the same height.
Stairs are the fussiest thing in the house and the easiest to get wrong. Riser heights have to match within a quarter inch or people trip — so we shim, scribe and template every tread.
- Solid hardwood treads and painted or stained risers
- LVP/LVT stair kits with matching nosing
- Tiled entry steps with proper edge trim
- Risers scribed and templated so every step matches
Waterproof plank, real wood, both.
LVP and LVT have gotten very good — waterproof, kid-proof, and they go over most existing floors. Hardwood still wins on resale and refinishability. We'll tell you honestly which one fits the room.
- Click-lock and glue-down luxury vinyl plank and tile (LVP/LVT)
- Solid and engineered hardwood, nail-down or floating
- Moisture testing on slab before anything goes down
- Underlayment, expansion gaps and transitions done right
